Best of 2016

Hi Guys!
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Happy New Years Eve...or if you're on the other side of the world and have already crossed over into 2017, Happy New Year! May it be filled with much love, laughter, health and prosperity.

I know I've been slacking on my posts lately, but these past two weeks or so I've been spending time with loved ones, doing some relaxing, and doing a lot of cleaning and organizing to get my life in order for the new year...making sure my receipts and files are in order, going through my closet and products to purge any unnecessary things and donating what I can, etc. I always like to end the year doing this to start the new year fresh.

Anywho, now that 2016 is winding down, I also took this time to think back and reflect so I could share all my absolute favorite must have best of the best cream of the crop products that I tried this year...so without further ado, here are my "Best Of" recommendations for 2016.

This was a tough one. I've tried quite a few cleansers this year, but I'm going to have to go with...

Philosophy Purity Made Simple

I still really love my Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleanser and Garnier Clean+ Balancing Gel Cleanser which made the decision difficult, but this late comer just barely edged them out to take the top spot because it's Foreo compatible and I would like and use this all year long regardless of the season, but you really can't go wrong with any of these.

I've also tried quite a few exfoliators this year, and while there have been some great ones, this one is by far the best one in my opinion...

Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

No bouts of long contemplation with this one unlike the cleansers. I think exfoliator and my brain immediately goes straight to Skinfood.

This has been a pretty good toner year...I don't think there was a toner that I tried that I didn't like this year, but after much thought and deliberation I think I'm going to go with both...

Nooni Spring Water Sprout Smoothing Toner

Nooni Seed Essence Toner

Both the Nooni toners were awesome and which one you get will ultimately depend on your skin type. I have combo skin, so I love the Smoothing Toner for the summer when I'm a bit more oily and the Seed Essence Toner for the winter when my face is a bit more dry.

As much as I loved Missha's First Treatment Essence, this was a no brainer for me and without contemplation I am going with...

Manyo Factory Galactomyces Niacin Special Treatment Essence

This stuff is amazing and I love it sooo much.

Generally I'm not the biggest fan of eye creams as they tend to sting and irritate my eyes for whatever reason making me cry, but this one I fell in love with...

Goodal Moisture Barrier Eye Cream

Nothing else comes close. There was one other eye cream that was just ok, but this is leaps and bounds better than any other eye cream that I've tried so far...and it doesn't make me cry.

I haven't really tried many ampoules...in fact I think I only tried two this year, but of the two this one is not only better but it is a really good one overall hence the mention. If I didn't think it was good enough I would have skipped this category, but this one is really nice.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the ampoule category, but if you're wanting to try a good one then check this one out...

Missha Time Revolution Night Repair New Science Activator Ampoule

Sadly, I do not have a serum recommendation for you this year. Generally I like to use sheet masks for my "serum" step so I didn't really try a lot to begin with, but of the two that I did try one I feel like it didn't really do anything for me and the other one from Missha, while I did like it, I didn't feel it was quite good enough to add to this list. Like I said in that review, the Missha Immortal Youth Serum is more of a team player than a stand alone star, so no serums made the cut this year...BUT I did just try a new serum and it was love at first application. I have a feeling it may very well make next years Best Of list, so keep an eye out for that review which will be coming in the new year.

Surprisingly, I'm going with...

Goodal Moisture Barrier Cream

Usually I'm not a fan of the thicker emollient creams, but this...this I LOVE. Total no brainer choosing this. I think awesome amazing face cream and my brain automatically goes to Goodal Moisture Barrier Cream.

Of the few sleeping packs that I tried this year, the one that really stood out for me was...

Hanaka Hyaluronic Acid Sleeping Pack

If you want beautiful radiant skin, you're gonna want this in your life.
Also, if you suffer from super dry parched cracked hands, then check out...

TonyMoly Intense Care Dual Effect Sleeping Pack
FULL REVIEW: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/01/tony-moly_30.html

This is a LIFESAVER. Even though it is a sleeping pack for your face, and it is nice on the face, I LOVE it for the hands during the winter. Your hands will love you and thank you. I've found nothing else that performs better than this to heal and protect my poor poor hands during the winter.

I tried several multi-tasking products this year, but the one that I loved and enjoyed the most was...

Goodal Moisture Barrier Liquid

I love the texture, the scent, how effective it is...and this has been a godsend for those lazy days when I don't want to be bothered.

I tried a TON of sheet masks this year and to choose just one was virtually impossible, but of the many that I tried the ones that I love and immediately come to mind are...

Dr. Althea Essential Skin Conditioner Silk Mask

Banobagi Vita Genic Jelly Masks

I only have reviews of two of the Jelly mask variations, but I have tried all of them and they are all good. My favorites though are the ones that were reviewed...the hydration and relaxing variations.

My Beauty Diary Wonderland Teatime Set

I haven't tried and reviewed all 6 of the variations in this set, but the ones that I have tried have been awesome...but I have a feeling that they're all gonna be pretty awesome.

And for "specialty" sheet masks...

Ultru I'm Sorry For My Skin Black Mud Mask - Tightening

Ultru I'm Sorry For My Skin Green Mud Mask - Soothing

Berrisom Oops Soda Bubble Mask - Pore Tox Fruit

These are all so awesome. Having these mud and bubble masks in sheet mask form just makes it sooo much easier to use, remove, and clean up...but they're still really effective.

Lastly, wasn't really sure where to put this, but it's something that you stick on your face so I figured this was the category to lump it under and it's the...

Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch

Unless you're one of the lucky few who NEVER gets pimples/acne, which if that's you I am so jealous, these will be your best friend...especially since these unwanted guests always seem to show up and make an appearance at the most inconvenient times...like the night before you have to take an ID picture. True story.

I tried a TON of sheet masks this year, but not as many regular masks. I have tried quite a few though and the best of the best would have to be...

Ettang Modeling Take-Out Cup Pack

I'd never tried a modeling/rubber mask before until this year, but I'm so glad I did and that I found this one to try. If you haven't tried one either then I really suggest you give it a go. It's one of the awesomest masking experiences and your skin will thank you.

Also, I can't leave out this eye mask...

Kao Megurhythm Steam Hot Eye Mask
FULL REVIEW: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2017/01/kao-eye-mask.html

This has been a savior. As someone that "abuses" their eyes, I'm constantly staring at one screen or another...computer, iPad, smartphone, tv, and not getting enough sleep, but these have been awesome at de-stressing and relaxing them. I don't think I did a full review of this particular eye mask yet, but I have been using and loving these since the fall.

This year I discovered the most awesomest and amazing lip balm that I've ever tried and surprisingly it's...

ChapStick® Total Hydration 3 in 1 - Coconut Hydration

Definitely my newfound holy grail.

For much of the year I was OBSESSED with all the La'dor hair products, but somehow none of them ended up on this list. I still love them and they are all awesome and it's a an awesome haircare brand, but broken down individually my top picks for haircare are...

Hair+ Velvet Nutri Injection Shampoo

You don't even need a conditioner with this shampoo in my opinion. Whenever I use this shampoo I rarely ever reach for a conditioner, yet my hair is still so awesome...but if you're looking for an awesome conditioner then check out...

Project Beauty Hairgurt Smoothing Yogurt Hair Masque in Strawberry Banana

It's not actually a conditioner, it's labeled as a hair mask, but I like to use this as a conditioner and it works really well as a conditioner.

When I want something a little more though then the product I like to use as a hair mask is...

SD Hair 7 Days Steam Hair Pack

This will give you awesome hair that lasts for an entire week...well at least for me it does.

And for those lazy days when you don't feel like washing your hair at all, I like to use...

amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo

Not the biggest fan of dry shampoo's, but this one I really like.

So that rounds out my list for 2016, BUT I've recently just tried some super awesome products so I thought I would give you a sneak peak at some of the products to look forward to that may very well make next years list. I know I'm getting ahead of myself, it's not even officially 2017 yet...at least here where I am, and I thought about including them in this years list, but I haven't been using these for very long, so ultimately I decided to push them to next years list. Let's see how they end up faring, but for now I am really loving and am excited by these new curations.

Without further ado, here are some potential candidates for next years "Best Of" list (full reviews are forthcoming, so keep your eyes peeled)...
