THOUGHTS
November 8th, 2018: I think I just found my #1 holy grail moisturizer. I just started trying this (meaning I've been using it for about a week now) and normally I like to wait and try a product for at least a month before giving my thoughts, but oh my god I love this so much. When you know, you just know and this was love at first try...which honestly, I didn't think I would like it, but boy was I wrong. My skin is just head over heels hopelessly in love with this thing.
The reason why I didn't think I was going to like this though was because when I opened it up, it looked like a balm...that's what it looked like in the pot.
Then I scooped some out with my skincare spatula and the consistency reminded me of the Farmacy Honey Potion Mask...which considering this contains manuka honey, propolis, and royal jelly in the formula, it's not surprising.
It has a beautiful silky texture (probably due to the dimethicone in the formula) that just glides and melts into your skin absorbing at lightening speed. I don't know what kind of magic they did to this, but the texture and formula are amazing. Weightless, not sticky/tacky, not greasy/oily, not emollient, not suffocating, not drying, not anything. It's just a beautiful nothing that absorbs at the speed of light and makes your skin look and feel youthful and beautiful.

But because of the balm like texture and honey potion like consistency, it just made me think it was going to be heavy and emollient and all the things that I don't like and want in my skincare. But this is a great example of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. They say looks can be deceiving and in this case it totally was because this is everything that I want in skincare. This isn't just lightweight, nor is it super lightweight...this, this is weightless. Completely weightless. I can't feel it on my face at all. It feels like there's nothing on my skin...like I haven't applied any skincare at all...but at the same time it still imparts all the benefits, so a total win-win situation.

Now if you are looking for something that's super duper over the top hydrating and moisturizing than the Hana Cream will probably be more up your alley (see below), but this is still weirdly and oddly very hydrating and moisturizing without feeling hydrating and moisturizing...if that makes any sense, which is probably why this would be a combo skin person's dream cause again it feels like nothing on your skin while still giving you all the benefits...and it balances out your face, so it just has a uniformly satin like finish...no dry zones and no oily zones, just one cohesive balanced face. AND it leaves you with the most soft and supple and silky smooth face. OMG...my face feels so baby's bottom soft and smooth it's unreal, and even though I've only been using it for a week or so, I can already tell a difference in my face when it comes to the anti-aging benefits as well.
If you saw my Farmacy Eye Cream review: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2018/06/farmacy-skincare.html, then you know about my ridiculously cute flannel pillowcases that are super adorable to look at, but terrible for my skin. Well even beyond the eye creases, I've been noticing that it's been starting to wreak havoc on my face in general as a whole as well. The skin on my face just wasn't looking it's best and I could tell that the pillowcase was breaking down my skin barrier and aging my face, but this...this has turned that around at lightning speed. My face is looking so smooth and plump and lifted and bright and it has just totally helped me to put my best face forward. It's kind of crazy how quickly this has made a difference and I know it's actually due to this product because all I've been using for skincare this past week was a cleanser to clean my face, then a toner and this. That's it...and the toner is something that I've been using for awhile now and know what it does for my skin, so this is all thanks to this moisturizer.
I know I sound like a broken record in this post, but it's just so crazy and unreal how amazing this moisturizer is...you just have to try it and feel for yourself because I don't even know...I'm at a loss as to how to properly convey how awesome this is. I've been rambling on and on, but I feel like nothing I've said does this product justice that's how much I'm so in love with this product. The description above, what this product claims to do, it totally does. I totally agree with all their claims and statements.

The only caveat for this product though are the price and the amount of product that you get. Not only is it pricey at $42 a pop, but for those $42 you only get 1 oz of product. Boo! Regardless, as much as it pains me, I still think it's worth the price. Also, it does contain a Nobel Prize winning ingredient in the formula, which is probably why it's so expensive, but still. Why? Why, oh why did I have to fall in love with such a pricey product?!
Anywho, that's the reason why I'm getting this review up so quickly without waiting and trying this out for at least a month...since the Sephora holiday bonus sale is going on right now, now is the time to try it if you are interested...that way you get at least a bit of a discount on this very pricey item, unless you're VIB Rouge, in which case your time has already come and gone, but for the rest us we can still get a bit of a discount. I know I will most definitely be buying a backup of this. Also, not that it matters, but isn't the packaging gorgeous as well?

Score flawless skin like South Korean goddess Ha Ji Won. She ninja-kicked her way into our hearts in Secret Garden, but it's her anti-aging cream-packed pearls that keep us obsessed.
Have a ball combating wrinkles and radical damage with this collagen-boosting, anti-aging cream packed into pearly capsules. Your skin will grow more elastic, firm, and moist, one ("Hana" in Korean) ball at a time.
One "hana" capsule a day keeps those wrinkles and lines away. Each pearl is packed with high concentrations of powerful anti-aging ingredients like collagen-boosting peptides and proteins to firm, lift, and moisturize skin. Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid hydrate, while Fullerene protects from radical damage. As if that weren't enough, each ball is also infused with exquisite natural elements like Macadamia Seed Oil and Zhi Mu Plant Extract to revitalize and replenish skin. The result is visibly smoother, softer, more radiant skin.
HOW TO USE
Use after cleanser and toner, or as the cream step in your skincare regimen (after cleanser, toner, essence, and moisturizer if you follow the multi-step K-Beauty routine). With the provided spatula, scoop out one pearl and place on the palm of your hand. Crush with your finger to warm up the product. Apply onto face and gently pat for better absorption.
Memetips: One "hana" pearl is sufficient per use, but there's no shame in going for seconds if your skin's craving a little extra pampering. The cream is suitable for AM and PM, but if you don't fancy a heavy cream for day, reserve for nighttime use.

THOUGHTS
June 27th, 2018: When I finally bit the bullet and got this last year, I had been wanting to try this for the longest time...since it first came out because it was created by an A-list Korean actress, Ha Ji Won, who is known for her beautifully flawless complexion...also, this moisturizer was a bit unique in that in came in little pre-portioned capsules making it easy and fun to use...but I digress. The reason I was on the fence about this product, was because I was afraid it would be too emollient and heavy feeling...and it ain't cheap, but when it went on sale for 50% off and I had a bunch of points to burn through before Memebox shut down last April, I finally got it and I'm really glad I did because this stuff is awesome...if you have dry skin.
This definitely is a heavy duty moisturizer, but surprisingly I don't mind it. It's not a lightweight product by any means...well it's lightweight and not lightweight at the same time, which I know doesn't make any sense, but hopefully it does once I explain myself. Like I said, it's not lightweight by any means, but I don't find it to be unbearably heavy and the reason that I feel like it's also "lightweight" (while not being lightweight) is probably because it just melts and sinks right into the skin beautifully, quickly and completely and doesn't sit on top of the skin whatsoever. You know how emollient products sort of sit and create a barrier on the skin...well this doesn't do that. It just sinks right in and works its magic on a cellular level, which I very much appreciate because I hate emollient and suffocating feeling products. So while this is heavier, it's not necessarily heavy and it's not oily or greasy at all. Does that make sense? I hope it does.
Now, when I first tried this during the dead of summer last year when it was 115+ degrees outside and I was doing my "7 Skin Method" (although I think I was doing like 9 layers at the time) and my skin didn't really need as much moisture...I wasn't the biggest fan of this. Not that I hated or disliked this, but it was just too hydrating and moisturizing for my skin at the time...my skin was flooding over with moisture and I had a feeling I would like it better during the winter, so I put it away and waited. Once the weather cooled and winter rolled around and my skin was feeling very dry and parched, I pulled this back out and oh boy...my skin just drank this up. My second go during the winter was when I fell in love with this...or rather my skin fell in love with this hard.
So what exactly are the effects of using this moisturizer? Well if you are suffering from dry skin, this will leave you with beautifully plump, radiant, elastic satiny smooth skin which is super hydrated and moisturized...and because your skin is so deliciously hydrated making it beautifully plump with moisture it really does help to keep the wrinkles at bay as well, which is why I think you'd love it and definitely recommend giving it a go if you have skin that is parched and craving moisture. If you have oily or combo skin, on the other hand, that doesn't need as much moisture, then you probably won't like this as much and don't need this...especially not for $50 a pop. As for normal skinned people, you would probably like this specifically for the winter, but not for the summer.
Oh, and one last thing...this does contain fragrance, FYI. If you are sensitive or ingredient conscious...although it's the last ingredient listed, so there's probably just a very minimal amount in there.
