VERDICT
December 20th, 2016 - Extract It Toner: I really like this toner. In fact I think it's probably one of the best toners that I've ever tried. It is a liquid-y toner, so I used it with a cotton pad but it just smells and feels so nice as you swipe it over your face. It's definitely a hydrating toner, so it's great for these colder winter months, and it leaves your face so soft with a really nice layer of moisture and does a great job of prepping your face for the rest of your skincare.
December 20th, 2016 - Oil Essence: The oil essence in this trial kit had just enough product to squeak out three uses...it was actually more like 2.5 uses, but I stretched it out a little bit to squeak out three full uses. The bottle, which is very tiny to begin with, wasn't even half full. I know it says in the description that the essence wouldn't be filled to the top to avoid leakage, but not even half? Really? Also, it was such a struggle to get the product out because the dropper wasn't working...it wouldn't suck up the product.
Anywho, that aside, I was really excited to try this because as the name states its an oil essence hybrid and I thought this would be a great way to incorporate an oil into my skincare routine without actually using a straight up oil. Since it's half essence, I thought I could get the benefits of an oil but in a lightweight non-greasy formula. While it is lightweight and not emollient/suffocating feeling, this did leave my face oily and greasy. Not too bad in the u-zone, but my t-zone, particularly my forehead, was pretty bad...it got real oily and greasy there both in look and feel which I was not a fan of. I was blotting my forehead like crazy because it was just a never ending stream of oil.
I wish I got to try this out a bit longer...it would've been nice to get a weeks worth of use, before passing judgement on it, but based on those three days of use I'm gonna say if you have super dry skin then you'll probably love it, but if you're someone with combo or oily skin and had the same thoughts that I did about this because it's a hybrid oil essence product stay away...unless you like having oily/greasy skin in which case go for it.
December 20th, 2016 - Anti Gravity Cream: This is a thicker cream, and a little goes a long way, but it isn't heavy or emollient/suffocating feeling. It can be a teeny bit oily/greasy, more so in the t-zone, but not enough to make it a big deal...and you can always just put on a thinner layer to negate that.
I love the name of this cream, but I don't know that it has really lifted anything. I can't really tell a difference there, but it definitely does leave your face nicely moisturized, soft and smooth. Now this is a trial size, so I don't know that it's fair to judge the anti-aging aspect of it, but it was a nice trial size that let me get a decent amount of use to figure out whether I would want to purchase a full size of this or not, and while it was nice...I'm gonna say it's a pass for me. I'm going to stick with the Goodal Moisture Barrier Cream: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/10/goodal-skincare.html which I like better and prefer over this.
December 20th, 2016 - OVERALL: Wasn't super impressed with this trial kit. I was so excited to get this and try it out because of the oil essence and anti-gravity cream, but I was underwhelmed by this kit. While you do get a decent, but not deluxe sized, amount of the toner and cream to try, the amount of essence they give you...that was a joke, and while the cream was nice there was nothing spectacular about it in my opinion. There's definitely creams that are just as good if not better out there in my opinion.
Surprisingly, the product that I liked the most out of these three was the toner, which was so not on my radar when purchasing this. Like I said I got this for the oil essence and anti-gravity cream and could have cared less about the toner, but after trying it I'm really considering wether or not to get a full size of this. It definitely is one of the best toners I've ever tried thus far, but do I really want to spend $35 on a toner? If it were like $20 I would definitely take the plunge and get a full size, but for $35...I don't know.
Toners are definitely a skincare category that I don't really think about investing tons of money in. Serums, ampoules, creams...the stuff that really sinks into the skin to work its magic...those are the categories that I think about and am willing to shell out for, but the idea of spending so much on a toner...but it is an awesome toner...aggghhh! I'm so torn.
You know what, I'm gonna hold off for now and hopefully someday soon there will be a really nice sale of like 30% or more and I can get a full sized bottle of the toner...but if you don't mind spending that much on a toner then definitely give this one a try. I would skip the other two products in this kit, but the toner...definitely give it a go if you can afford to and don't mind dropping that much money on a toner.
