THOUGHTS
October 10th, 2018: This was a cool mask to try. It's a gel mask that has actual tea leaves suspended in it. It was a tiny bit of a struggle to get it on the face though because it was very slippery and hard to grasp, but also very delicate feeling...so I was trying to grip it, but at the same time was also trying to be gentle because it felt like I might tear or puncture the mask with my nails.

After I finally got it on, it wasn't the most secure mask...it kept sliding down my face. The top portion wasn't too bad, it did slip a little bit but not too bad. The lower portion, however, kept sliding down so I kept having to push it back up the whole time. This is definitely more of a lay down and relax type of mask, and as far as the fit of the mask...it seems to be a pretty standard size.

It was cooling and calming on the face, but halfway through I did feel the outer perimeters of the lower portion starting to dry out. I don't know if it's because I kept touching and fidgeting with it because it was sliding off my face, but by the time I went to take it off the very edges of the lower portion was dry...the rest of the mask though was fine.

Once removed, the leftover serum absorbed nicely and quickly into the skin and left my face with a bit of a glow. It also left my face soft and smooth and nicely hydrated and it seemed to have calmed down the redness a little bit as well leaving me with a more even complexion. Oh, and while this wasn't sticky or tacky...per se, it did have the teeniest tiniest ever so slightly...kind of like a really old and worn post-it note...that kind of there's a little something there, but it doesn't stick anymore...that kind of feeling. Did that make sense? Hopefully it did.

Anywho, bottom line, would I repurchase this? Probably not. While it was nice, it's expensive at $7 a pop. You can find it for cheaper, but it's still on the pricey side and it wasn't particularly outstanding in any way. If I'm looking for something that's really cooling and calming and soothing I definitely prefer rubber masks for that, there are more hydrating and moisturizing sheet masks out there and as for the glow...I can get that glow or even better with other masks and or products out there and honestly there are sheet masks that I just prefer more over this one, so it's a pass for me. It's just not the best that's out there in my opinion. Perhaps if it was cheaper I would "like" it better, not that I don't like it...you know what I mean. I like it, but just not as much as other masks...but it is a good solid mask if you'd like to give it a whirl yourself.

VERDICT
May 8th, 2017: Meh, not a fan. While these blend in the best, are the least noticeable of all the acne patches that I've tried, and extremely thin yet flexible and therefore lightweight (you can't even feel it on your face) and very comfortable to wear, these are the least effective...and the least sticky. I woke up one morning to find that the patch had shifted off my blemish and instead was sitting next to it. Like I said these were the least effective...honestly it had no effect, so not even least effective it was non-effective and didn't seem to do anything for me at all. So while these are super cheap, definitely a lot cheaper than the CosRx acne patches that I love, still not worth the money in my opinion. Splurge the extra few bucks and get the CosRx Acne Pimple Master Patch: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/04/cosrx.html instead. Those are my go to that I constantly repurchase and make sure to always have on hand.

VERDICT
February 10th, 2017: I got a few samples of this to try, so I decided to give it a go...because how cute is the packaging on this sample?

Anywho, despite the fact that it's a massage product, I don't hate it...it's not bad. Thus far I have not been the biggest fan of massage creams...#1 because I'm just not naturally drawn to massage products, and #2, the main reason and my biggest complaint about them, because they tend to feel very heavy, emollient, and suffocating feeling in my opinion and I hate that. I don't like feeling my skincare. This, however, perhaps because it is a massage gel, wasn't any of those things. This is a nice clear lightweight slick gel formula that isn't super slippery, but has a nice smooth glide to it so you can spread it over your face and massage it in. I didn't make a point of smelling this product, but I couldn't smell anything as I massaged this into my face so I'm going to say its unscented.

I used the entire sample packet to apply a nice amount of product to my face and massaged this in for about 5 minutes. During that time it slowly started to absorb into my skin bit by bit, so #1 I wouldn't recommend skimping on the amount of product you start with, you want to use a decent amount of product vs. a just a thin layer of product and #2 I wouldn't recommend massaging your face for any longer than the recommended 3-5 minutes because that nice smooth glide slowly starts to dissipate bit by bit towards the end as it gets absorbed into the skin...but it was sufficiently slick enough for the recommended 3-5 minutes.

Once you're done massaging it in, you can either leave it on as an overnight mask or rinse it off with lukewarm water. I tried it both ways, and I think your skin type will ultimately determine which route you go, but I personally preferred to rinse it off. If you have dry skin you'll probably like and want to leave it on as an overnight mask, but if you have oily skin you'll probably prefer to rinse it off. For those of you who fall somewhere in between (aka combo skin) it'll be trial and error. I have combo skin (a true combination of oily, dry, and normal depending on the region of my face and the time of year) and while I didn't mind leaving it on, I did prefer to rinse it off because while it does completely sink into the skin it also create a barrier on your face. A very thin, lightweight, non-emollient, non-suffocating, non-sticky/non-tacky feeling barrier, but a barrier nonetheless. Regardless, whichever route you decide to go, this will ultimately leave your face nicely hydrated, soft and smooth like a baby's bottom.

That being said would I go and buy a full size of this? No, because I'm not really a fan of or drawn to massage products...I'm more of a sheet, peel off, wash off mask person, but if you're on the market for a nice massage cream/gel then I would say check this one out. I like the lightweight gel texture, it's nicely moisturizing and because you have the option to leave it on or rinse it off I feel like it would be suitable for all skin types.

Size: 100g
One of Skinfood's star products, this exfoliating skin-softening scrub/mask will remove dead skin cells and create a soft, radiant complexion with Brazilian black sugar and helps decrease the number of black and white heads. It smells heavenly of brown sugar and leaves your skin feeling porcelain smooth and soft. The sugar grains make for an excellent manual exfoliator and dissolve slowly as your massage it gently on your face, so as to not cause too much damage from over exfoliating. The hydrating formula moisturizes your face as it sets, so upon rinsing off your skin is totally glowing and baby-soft.

HOW TO USE

Gently massage the mask onto a freshly washed, damp face, avoiding the eyes. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. We know it smells delicious, but try not to eat it. Rinse with lukewarm water. Recommended once a week.

VERDICT

If you have any passing familiarity with Korean skincare than you've most likely heard about this product. This is a cult favorite product that is a number one seller from Skinfood and it is often raved about and hyped up. After giving it a good go, I can see why.

This is an awesome exfoliator/mask. This leaves your face so soft and smooth and hydrated and bright and I love that this is a customizable exfoliator meaning that anyone can use it. If you're someone that loves a good scrubbing and want a rougher more textured scrub than you can go in with this product straight out of the tub, but if you're someone who has more sensitive skin and want softer more microfine particles than you can dilute it with water or toner to melt down the sugar granules to your preference.

This product is both affordable and effective. The best combination! I would definitely recommend giving this a go to see what the fuss is about because it is definitely worth the hype in my opinion.

P.S. I got mine from Beauteque, but I can't find it on their site anymore so I linked a few other places you can get this from...one of them actually being Ulta.
