February 28th, 2016: The hand cream itself is ok. It's not terrible, but it's not amazing either...at least to me personally. It smells good, like actual apples, but I'm not a fan of the formula. I always look for non-greasy lightweight formulas that sink into the skin quickly where you don't feel it...creams and lotions that don't feel like you put on any creams or lotions. That is my jam, but this one is not like that.
Not to say that it's greasy or sticky per se, but I do feel it on my skin after I've applied it and inevitable end up rinsing my hands after I put it on because I don't like that feeling...which is probably why I'm not a fan of body butters either. I'm not a fan of those thicker formulas. This isn't quite as thick as a body butter, but it's halfway there. If that doesn't bother you than this will totally be fine for you and I imagine that you would like it, but I personally am not a fan.
But let's be honest, I bought this mainly because of the packaging so no regrets here. I'm just gonna ask my mom to use it up (since she doesn't mind this kind of formula) and then rinse it out and refill it with a hand cream that I do love.

This stuff is AMAZING for dry skin in the winter. I originally received some samples of this to try and I liked it enough to go ahead and buy a full size and thank god I did. It has been a LIFESAVER.
Though I do like it for my face, I predominantly use this on my hands...my poor poor beyond dehydrated hands which have to battle the harsh winter cold, the arid desert environment, and my obsessive need to wash my hands every 2 seconds (ok so I exaggerate...I don't wash my hands every 2 seconds, but I do wash them an obnoxious amount throughout the day).
It's been a losing battle every winter despite trying various lotions and creams and body butters. I did try a sample of La Mer once which was amazing, but with an obnoxious price tag I'm not rich enough to be slathering that on my hands day in and day out all winter long every single winter. I thought all hope was lost, but then this came into my life and my hands are forever grateful.
I slather this onto my hands every night before I go to bed and it truly is magical. My hands are so moisturized and smooth it's CRAZY. I mean before I started using this, despite my efforts, my hands would still get to a point where they would literally crack from dehydration and it was painful and scaly and disgusting. This product however, took it from that to now being soft and supple and hydrated.
The formula itself is a slippery gel/silicone texture that sinks right into the skin. I was afraid it might be a bit heavy and sticky, but I don't know if it's because my hands were just soooo parched that it just drank up the product, but even after applying several layers it just sank right into my hands. It wasn't thick and heavy at all and it didn't sit on my skin nor was it sticky or tacky. It does have a scent which I don't love, but I don't hate it either. It's tolerable and it does go away after awhile...or maybe I just couldn't smell it anymore because I fell asleep, but at any rate as someone who's sensitive to smells it was tolerable.
I don't know about this have brightening effects...I personally haven't notice any brightening per se, but their other claims...this definitely is super hydrating, nourishing, and fills in lines and wrinkles. The lines and cracks on my hands have drastically improved and they seem to have been magically filled in and become smooth and supple. It's like I got botox on my hands or something.
This is definitely holy grail status for me, and will be a staple in my skincare every winter from here on out...and as I'm typing this it just occurred to me that I should totally try this out on the heels of my feet as well. With summer approaching this would probably give me smooth as a baby's butt feet perfect for summer sandal wearing. Will definitely have to try that out and update you all on how that goes.
