January 4th, 2017: This was on my Best of 2016 list, which if you haven't checked it out yet here's the link: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/12/best-of-2016.html, so you know I already love this, but I'm only now finally getting around to giving you all the deets on why I love it so much. Sorry about that.
If you saw my review on the SNP Animal Warming Mask: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/01/snp.html then you know what an "eye abuser" I am, so when I discovered that a product like this existed I knew I had to jump on this bandwagon even though I hate regular eye masks. If it could really do all the magical things it claimed to do then I knew I had to suffer through some eye masking sessions for the sake of my eyes. Long story short, I surprisingly didn't mind these eye mask products...they feel really nice and warm on the eyes and they actually work and help soothe and de-stress my poor poor overworked eyes. Still don't like regular eye masks and don't use them, but these steaming eye mask products...they've become my BFF.
Anywho, enough backstory, while I really liked the SNP eye masks and was a huge fan of those I love these even more. Why? Because it is a lot more comfortable. In terms of the function of the mask: heating up, how hot it gets, how long it's hot for, soothing and de-stressing the eyes, etc. they both perform the exact same. BUT this one from Kao is made of a softer and a lot more flexible and stretchy material which provides a much more comfortable fit. The SNP, while SUPER adorable and cute, is a lot stiffer and inflexible. Not that it's uncomfortable, but in comparison to this it is.
If only the SNP and Kao eye masks could get together and have a baby, so that I can have a mask that is more flexible, comfortable, AND cute that would be awesome...but given my options I'm going to go with comfort over cuteness which is why this Kao eye mask beat out the SNP to make my Best of 2016 list.

Oh, and the Kao does have a lavender scent to it (it also comes in a variety of other scents), but it wasn't that strong and I didn't mind it at all. Also, while I did originally get mine from Beauteque, you can find it for A LOT cheaper on Amazon, which is why I linked both above.
