Today I'm going to be comparing the CosRx Acne Pimple Master Patch: https://go.magik.ly/ml/c6ai/...
and the Missha Speedy Solution Anti Trouble Patch: https://go.magik.ly/ml/c6al/...
both of which are awesome, but for very different reasons. They not only perform differently, but are constructed differently as well; so let's break it down.
First let's compare the physical aspects...
As you can see from the table above, the Missha patch is super thin and has a plastic-y feeling which can make it feel quite cheap to be frank and it only comes in 2 sizes while the CosRx patch is thicker and more silicone-y making it feel more high quality and comes in 3 different sizes.
If these two could get together and have a baby that would be fantastic because I love how thin the Missha patch is and that it's completely clear, but I love the silicone-y texture of the CosRx and that it comes in 3 different sizes. Push come to shove, I personally would choose the CosRx over Missha because I do prefer the silicone-y texture and that I have more variety of sizes, but it's honestly all a matter of preference.
Moving on to the performance of these patches, both perform well in their own right but excel at treating certain types of acne/blemishes, so depending on the type of acne/blemish that you are dealing with will determine which one you're more inclined to use or both.
The CosRx patch is great for regular acne/blemishes and really does a great job of sucking out and expelling the gunk (great for those who love to be visually satisfied), whereas the Missha patch is better suited (in my opinion) for treating the painful cystic acne-like bump blemishes which take longer to heal and are harder to treat (from my past experiences). You won't see any gunk being sucked out with the Missha patches (no visual satisfaction with this patch), but it does an excellent job of reducing the bump and redness and calming the blemish down.
So that I can paint a better picture for you guys...I don't know if this is actually how the Missha Patch works, but the Missha "dissolves" the bacteria and gunk under the surface (so you can't see what's going on) while CosRx extracts the bacteria and gunk (so you can see what's going on). I think that would be the best way to describe and think of it. Hopefully that makes sense.
Lastly, in terms of price and packaging, you get more bang for your buck with the Missha patches as you get 80 patches for $5 vs. the 24 CosRx patches you get for the same $5, but in terms of packaging CosRx is better because it comes in a nice and roomy resealable zip lock pouch whereas the Missha packaging is not resealable and tight so its harder to slide the patches back into the packaging for storage.
Is one necessarily better than the other? No. Each product has its pros and cons, but performs really well, so depending on personal preferences and the type of acne/blemish you need to address will determine which patch you should go for...if not both.
I hope this was helpful!
