Elizavecca (Skincare)

Size: 20 ml / 10 pairs
Shun dullness away and bring the brightness of your eyes back to life! Elizavecca Hydrogel Bouncy Eye Patch helps you fully complete your daily eye care routine. It is formulated with rich pig collagen to improve elasticity of the skin and revitalize the eye area for a much healthier look. Its hydrogel form increases the efficacy and comfort of the eye patches for they hold a larger amount of essence and they are very soft too! Aside from helping you brighten up your eye area, it also prevents wrinkles from occurring. Remember, when it comes to skin aging, prevention is always better than cure!

HOW TO USE
After washing your face, prep your skin with toner. Gently peel the patches off the film and apply it on the undereye area. Leave it for at least 2 hours. For better results, use overnight and remove the next morning. Gently pat your undereye area with your fingertips.

October 6th, 2016: Despite the adorably cute packaging, I'm not a fan of these. They are made of a soft bouncy hydrogel material that I thought I would enjoy, but it was just so uncomfortable to wear. I kept adjusting and readjusting the entire time and I could never quite get it to sit comfortably despite the fact that it's made of a soft comfortable material...ironic.

Also, I kept these in the fridge so they would be nice and cooling, but as soon as I took them out and applied them they had already warmed up and weren't cool anymore. It would not stay cool in the slightest. Kinda weird because my sheet masks, which I don't refrigerate, are so cooling and refreshing on my face but these I actually kept in the fridge but they would not stay cool for even a minute.

Lastly, I don't know that it did anything for my under eyes...I couldn't really tell a difference. I thought maybe it was because I was so busy fidgeting and adjusting and re-adjusting these while I had them on, so I steeled myself and suffered through a 2 hour session without touching and adjusting these after the initial application, which btw was such a miserable and long 2 hours, and still no difference...other than the wrinkles/lines it created from the edges of the eye patch digging into my under eye so these are a pass for me. Not cooling, extremely uncomfortable, and they didn't do anything.

The only "good" thing about this eye patch is that it adheres to the face really well so you can sit up and do whatever you want with these on, but who cares if it sticks to the face really well if its sticking uncomfortably...right?

VERDICT
Liked this product. Not only did it do its job, but it was fun to use as well. It left my skin feeling squeaky clean, smooth, and soft like a baby's bottom...and I feel like it firmed/tightened my skin a bit as well. I don't know if it's just the novelty of the product, but it was very amusing to watch, feel, and hear the bubbles form on my face as well. Fun and effective!

The instructions on the actual package doesn't mention whether to use this before or after cleansing so I leave that decision to you, but I cleanse and tone first before going in with this product. The packaging just simply states to apply it all over the face (avoiding the eyes) , leave on for 3-5 min. (during which time the product will begin to bubble over), once your face has bubbled over apply a little bit of water to massage the bubbles on your face then rinse off completely using lukewarm water.

To keep thing's hygienic I tried to apply it all over my face with the spatula that is included, but I ended up with way too much product on my face (as you can see in the picture below), so I suggest dotting the product onto the face with the spatula and then using your fingers to spread it out quickly. I think that would be a much better and faster way to apply this product, which will also help you to not overuse the product as a little goes a long way.

One thing to note though is that this can be a bit difficult to remove. It's very...slippery and it takes a bit of effort to remove it completely where it doesn't feel like there's a thin layer of the product still left on your face. The first time around because I put so much on it took forever to take off, but like I said a little goes a long way and it definitely makes it that much easier to clean off your face.

UPDATE: This is such a huge pain in the butt to remove it's just not worth it for me anymore. I didn't want to waste this product, so I took it out to use again...the first time in a long time, and I so regretted it. First of all, when you use the product sparingly it doesn't really bubble up that much...which is the whole point and fun of using this product over a regular clay mask. Secondly, even though you use less product it's still a pain to remove! I used wasted so much water, ended up scrubbing my face for an obnoxiously long time (at least I got in a good arm workout?) and it ended up getting in my mouth and nostrils (which is not pleasant) and it's just...it's not worth it anymore.

Back when I first tried it out, the novelty of the product just grabbed me. It got me so excited and it was different and new and fun and because of that I wasn't as bothered and was accepting and willing to deal with the difficult nature of removal, but now I'm so over it.

I've since found a carbonated sheet mask that bubbles up like crazy and is so easy and fun and simple to use and remove, and a clay mask that I actually like even more than this one that performs better and is also easy to remove. Now that I know I have other products that I can turn to to take its place I don't even reach for this anymore.

If you want the fun bubbling experience I suggest you give a carbonated sheet mask a try instead. There are several out there that you can try. I personally have tried the Mediheal Mogongtox Soda Bubble Sheet Mask which is great...you can check out my review here: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/06/mediheal.html; and if you want a bomb clay mask then I recommend Too Cool For School's Morocco Ghassoul Creamy Mousse Pack...you can check out my review here: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/04/too-cool-for-school.html.

Relieve your skin from dryness and give it a bright, healthy shine. Containing premium donkey milk, this steam pack is a heavy moisturizing mask that focuses on helping the skin recover from extreme dryness and flaking. It has a special steaming action which sets it apart from the usual mask sheets. This process increases effectivity of the mask for it opens the pores for full absorption. It improves skin elasticity for a much firmer texture while also delivering a great amount of nutrients to keep the skin healthy. It also delivers a dewy finish that enhances the skin's natural glowing complexion.

HOW TO USE
After cleansing and toning, place the mask onto the face and leave it for 15 to 10 minutes. After the allotted time, remove the mask and gently pat for better absorption.

The rest of the 9 masks in this box is going straight back to Memebox. This made me so nauseous and sick to my stomach I was actually incapacitated for the next hour while I laid in bed recovering. I don't know what it was in this mask, but it just did not get along with my body (hence no picture of me with it on below...sorry). Looking at the ingredient list it looks like it has a lot of the usual skincare sheet mask ingredients, so I guess it's the donkey milk??? At any rate, I haven't felt that sick to my stomach in a loooooong time and I know it was the mask because I was feeling completely fine until I put this mask on and once I got it off my face and it had a chance to completely sink into the skin I started to feel better.

As for the mask itself, this is different from your usual sheet mask in that it's not soaked in serum but rather a cream...which btw is not spread evenly across the mask. There was a ton bunched up on a section of the forehead and there were other spots that barely had any cream. I had to use my fingers to spread the cream out evenly on the mask, which I feel like wasn't the most sanitary thing to do even though I had washed my hands. In retrospect I probably should have used one of my cleansed skincare spatulas.

Also, that description on the Memebox website is really misleading. It says that this mask has a "special steaming action" which is a huge reason why I bought this, but there was none. Usually I don't like to get a batch of masks unless I know I like it. I like to buy one and try it out first, but they didn't sell these individually and you could only get it in a 10 pack; but I figured it sounded interesting and unique and different and due to that key phrase amazing so I got it.

I totally regret that decision now. I don't know about you, but when I hear steaming action it makes me think it's going to heat up on my face. Isn't that how steam is created? Through heat? I expected this to heat up and "open" the pores so that the cream could better penetrate the skin and work it's magic, but there was nothing like that. This was basically your typical sheet mask except for the fact that it uses a cream moisturizer instead of a serum. That was the only difference.

Disappointed on so many levels with this one, which is a shame because I really love this brand and it's adorable piggy mascot. I would most definitely recommend skipping this one. Instead try the hydrogel mask reviewed below. That one was AWESOME. This one was the complete opposite.

VERDICT
AWESOME mask. It was a bit dicey getting it on...the mask is SUPER slippery, so slippery in fact that even the plastic cover (both front and back) that usually comes attached to gel masks slid off leaving no traction whatsoever; but nonetheless I really loved the texture of this thicker gel sheet mask.

It did slide a teeny bit while sitting on my face, but it wasn't too bad. Because of how slippery the application process was I was afraid I was going to have to lie down, but I only had to pull it up a teeny bit above my lips a couple times...probably cause I was talking with it on. When I was silent the mask stayed put (barely, but it did stay), it was only when I spoke and moved my lips that I felt it slide a little bit.

The mask was a bit on the smaller side, so it didn't cover the very outer perimeter of my face, but I love the fact that it was a two piece sheet mask...I feel like that allowed it to better fit my face and made the application process easier...aside from the fact that it was slippery, the only "con" of this mask. I usually always have to adjust sheets masks that are a one piece when I apply it to my face, but that wasn't the case here.

Once you get past all the slipperiness though and get it on, it is very cooling and refreshing on the face and definitely leaves your skin hydrated without leaving an over excess of serum on the face which I appreciate and love. Also, I love the fact that as the gel dried on my face it didn't dry out my face and stick to it like the Leaders gel masks do. A huge plus in my opinion.

Can't say that I noticed any tightening of pores or firming of the skin, but it did leave my face looking nice and hydrated and glowy and soft and smooth. Will definitely get more and continue to use these. These left my face looking very healthy and hydrated and radiant.
