The Polatam Moisturizing Sheet Mask brightens and softens with a silky, ultra-absorptive cupro sheet drenched in a gel-like serum packed with Oak Root extract.

The Hydro Radiance Pure Cream mask from Polatam’s collection is the ideal departure from watery sheet masks! The luxe milky essence instantly imbues skin with the comforting hydration and moisture of a traditional cream. Made of soft Cupro fiber, these thin masks adhere closely to the skin and hold 10x the essence of a normal cotton sheet mask. Cupro fibers feel just like silk on the skin. Milky essences help to seal moisture into the skin- formulated here with Green Tea and Rosemary extracts to calm while Glycerin, Ceramide, and Oak Sap Extract heal and hydrate. (Carton in photo not included when purchasing single sheets)

Park Tam Hee, famed Korean actress and former K-Pop star, created Polatam with minimal, clean, and skin-loving natural ingredients. Cupro adheres like a second skin, allowing you multi-task without any slippage. When combined with a milky serum, this mask acts as an intensive treatment that balances and tops up skin's hydration levels.

VERDICT
May 2nd, 2017: It's been a hot minute since I've used a sheet mask, but I was in the mood for one so I whipped this one out of my stash to try...only to find that this is a milky creamy essence sheet mask. If you've been reading my blog for a while now you know I don't have the best track record with sheet masks that are soaked in a milky creamy essence. There's something about them that tends to make me nauseous and sick...although I did finally try one that didn't make me sick, but regardless I generally try my best to steer clear of them because of my...using the word traumatic to describe the situation is a bit dramatic, but my extremely not so pleasant experience with them. However, this one actually turned out to be really nice and beautiful.

This sheet mask is made of a cupro fiber, which kind of looks and feels like a super soft and silky gauze material. Like I said above, it's drenched in a thicker milky cream-like essence and adheres to the face nicely. The eye holes were pretty standard and fit my eyes fine (albeit I have small asian eyes, FYI), but the mouth hole was a bit small. I tried to stretch it out a bit, but the material isn't very stretchy so I wasn't that successful...although I did get a tiny bit of give. I would recommend using some scissors to widen the holes vs. trying to stretch it out if you need to widen any of the holes. Also, it smells nice. It's sort of got a very slight perfume-y lotion scent to it, but it's not overpowering. You can kind of smell it slightly while it's sitting on the face, but I was completely fine with it and I'm someone that's very sensitive to scents.

As for the performance, this wasn't that cooling while it was on the face, but not a big deal as you can always stick a sheet mask in the refrigerator before use if you want that cooling sensation. Once removed it does leave a nice layer of creamy essence behind on the face, which because it's a thicker cream-like essence it does take a few minutes to start to absorb into the skin and several more after that to fully sink in. While it's absorbing it does feel...I don't want to use the word sticky because I don't want you to get the wrong idea, but it does have a bit of a grip to it...very slightly. Kind of like a worn post-it note. It doesn't really stick to anything anymore, but it still has a little something something. Am I making any sense? Anywho, that goes away though once it's fully completely sinked into the skin, and as expected, I found this to be extremely hydrating due to the thicker creamy essence, but true to it's name it also made my skin very radiant...very dewy glowy and radiant which I am a total fan of. I love me a nice healthy dewy radiant glow.

I don't know that you would like this if you have oily skin or want to use it during the hot humid months of summer because it is so hydrating and gives you a very dewy glowy face, but for those of you with dry skin or for winter use I think this would be perfect. It would also be perfect, I imagine, for use before special occasions and events. While I didn't put makeup on top of this, I feel like my skin was very well prepped for makeup to go on top of it due to all that hydration and radiance and soft smooth skin.

This definitely gets two thumbs up from me. If you are in need of a super hydrating sheet mask that will give you beautiful glowy dewy radiant skin, then this is the sheet mask for you. It is pricey at $7 a mask, but it's totally worth it in my opinion. I wouldn't use this everyday, but I definitely want to get a few more to keep on hand for special occasions.
