November 5th, 2017: This is made of a super thin gauze-like material that is drenched in serum. It doesn't drip once applied to the face, but it will drip when you pull it out of the packaging, which btw how cute is this packaging?
Anywho, it has an average fit overall while the eye hole is nice and big and the mouth hole is nicely sized. If you still need to stretch it out though you can do so easily with your hands. It falls a bit short in the nose area though, but there was enough left over serum in the packaging to apply it to the nose, the perimeter of my face, and my neck. If you look at the ingredient list it does say it contains fragrance, but I couldn't detect a scent...and I really sniffed it. I held it right up to my nose and everything, but I couldn't smell anything. To me it seemed to be completely scentless, which is nice. In my opinion, better nothing than something potent or horrible. Oh, and it adhered to the face nicely.
While on the face, it felt fine, but this sheet mask seemed to dry out quickly...not that it dried out completely, but considering how drenched in serum it was when I first applied it to the face compared to when I took it off after just 15 min. there was a huge decrease in serum and the sheet mask itself barely felt moist. My guess would be because it's made of such a thin gauze-like material and it evaporated?
The reason I'm guessing the serum evaporated vs. it having been absorbed into the skin is because this sheet mask wasn't particularly hydrating...or effective and true to it's claims. Once removed it barely left behind any serum, and while it did provide some hydration it didn't provide much...contrary to what it claims in the description.
I didn't find it to be brightening either. I guess it evened out my skin a tiny bit (aka made my face a little less red), but it didn't leave me with a brighter more luminous complexion...no radiant lit from within glow or anything like that. Again, while it did diminish a little bit of redness from my face it didn't diminish all of it. I also didn't find this to be plumping either, so how it claims to be anti-wrinkle when it can't plump up your skin to fill in the wrinkles or keep them away I don't know. BTW, in the pic below, my face is puffy and bloated from the salt content of the ramen I had and not because it was plumped up from this sheet mask.
My face did feel smooth...not so much soft, but it was smooth. However I did exfoliate beforehand using my amazing Tsaio exfoliator: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/11/tsaio-skincare.html (which in retrospect I regret exfoliating before testing a sheet mask), so I don't know that it was due to this sheet mask. I would venture to guess that my skin just remained smooth from the exfoliator and not the sheet mask...especially since it wasn't as smooth as it was right after using the exfoliator. It actually dulled down the smoothness a little bit. It also dulled down the softness of my skin as well. My face was amazingly soft and smooth after using the Tsaio exfoliator, but after the sheet masking session my face was significantly less soft and a little less smooth.
Honestly, aside from a little bit of hydration and a tiny bit less of redness on my face I don't know that this really did anything. It actually sort of doesn't even feel like I had a masking session...which is a bit disappointing because this does have some amazing ingredients listed like Niacinamide, Bird's (or Swiftlet) Nest Extract, Centella Asiatica, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Propolis, Royal Jelly and Aloe...especially the Bifida Ferment Lysate. My skin loves Bifida Ferment Lysate, which is why I love the Manyo Factory Bifida Ferment Complex: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/09/manyo-factory.html.
Anywho, this is a definite pass for me. Packing is super adorable and cute, but the product itself just doesn't justify the purchase no matter how cheap it is. I would instead recommend the other mermaid mask in this line (reviewed below), which also has super cute adorable mermaid packaging, but is so much better than this one.

January 2nd, 2017: This is a really nice sheet mask. It's a soft black carbon fiber mask that smells of...it's got a sweet-ish herbal-y scent. I want to say it reminds of the sweet ginseng candies that my dad used to like. It's drenched in a very thin liquid-y serum that did drip a tiny bit down the neck in the beginning, but it stopped dripping pretty quickly. As for the fit, it's a bit bigger than the average sheet mask. Still not big enough to cover my entire face, but almost; and it adheres to the face really well.
In terms of the actual performance, it's very cooling and refreshing on the face and once removed the leftover serum isn't sticky or tacky in the slightest and sinks in very quickly. My face was left nicely hydrated, super soft and a bit smoother. Don't know that my face was any brighter or radiant, but I feel like it was a bit more elastic. Overall, my face didn't necessary look healthy and radiant, but it FELT healthy and really nice afterwards.
Like I said in the beginning, this is a really nice sheet mask. Nothing spectacular that's going to knock your socks off, but better than your average sheet mask. If only it made my face brighter and more radiant...but regardless this is a really nice solid sheet mask that would be great to use as an everyday filler mask, especially since this is a cheaper sheet mask that will only run you about $1 or $2...plus its got super cute packaging. I would definitely grab a few more to use as an everyday filler mask.

Meh...this was ok...I suppose. It wasn't terrible, so I'll stick with ok. This was a very slippery hydrogel mask that did not want to stay put. It kept sliding down my face, particularly the bottom half around my mouth, so I had to keep adjusting it and pushing it back up. The fit was pretty average lengthwise, but fell a bit short widthwise leaving much of the sides of my face exposed, but the eye and mouth holes fit fine.
As far as the actual performance of the mask, it did provide some hydration, but I didn't really notice anything else beyond that. My face wasn't brighter or more radiant or firmer. Gold is supposed to be great for anti-aging and bird's nest extract is supposed to be awesome, but this just really didn't do much for me...I was very underwhelmed. Even the packaging, at least the Diamond variation was sparkly and pretty, but this one...even the luxe/pretty factor was lacking for me with this sheet mask. Definitely not worth the $4 that I paid for this.
I know there are actual real 24K gold leaf foil masks out there that look awesome, albeit expensive and hard to come by, that I would love to try but this one just didn't do it for me packaging or performance-wise...not even as an everyday filler mask, so this is a definite pass for me.

I love sparkly things and this hydrogel sheet mask, which was a bit slippery and not the most secure feeling mask, contains real diamond powder which sparkles in the light. I love how pretty and sparkly it is.
Would I repurchase this? No. As much as I loved the luxe diamond powder that sparkled (would love to get a tub of that for makeup purposes), it's not worth it in my opinion.

First off, this didn't irritate my face like the Abalone mask did so this right out the gate is much better then that variation, but overall this wasn't that bad. Not that it was amazing, but it was still nice.
Like the abalone sheet mask, this is also made of a super thin soft gauzy material that I really liked and it fits the face nicely just like the other one. It was cooling and refreshing while on the face, and once removed, again like the abalone mask, the essence was a bit tacky but it dissipates as it sinks into the skin.
As for the actual results, this left my face nice and hydrated and smooth and a little brighter and radiant than before which is why I like this one A LOT better than the abalone variation and think its nice just in general. If you can find this on sale for $1, then this is a nice filler sheet mask for those of you who follow or want to follow the 1 일1팩 aka 1 day 1 mask trend going on in Korea...because using a $3-$6+ sheet mask everyday would get really expensive...so it's nice to find some cheaper filler masks that are nice to use.

This is made of a super thin soft gauzy material that I really liked. It was super cooling and refreshing on the face...it felt like I had stuck my head in the freezer, and because it was so thin it clung to my face really well. It was also big enough to cover the sides of my face all the way to my ear. The only part that wasn't covered was the very top of my forehead, but I have a large forehead and I rarely ever find a sheet mask that covers it in its entirety. I loved the material and it felt so nice on the face I thought I was going to really love this mask, but it actually ended up irritating my face and I don't really think it did much.
The essence was a little tacky after I removed the mask, but it went away as the essence sunk into my skin. It was a bit hydrating, but not super hydrating. As I already mentioned it irritated my skin. I had red splotches and bumps that appeared on my face. My face has been irritated in general lately for some reason (it comes and goes as it pleases), but this mask seems to have exacerbated it and made it worse...btw going off on a tangent but my skin...seems to be going through cycles of being amazingly awesome and then really irritated and bad and then really awesome and then really irritated and bad. Don't know why....maybe changing of the seasons? It's still pretty hot, but I can definitely feel the change is coming...or rather my nose and hands can tell that fall and winter are coming. My nose is starting to get stuffy and my hands are starting to dry out.
Generally though my routine has been the same aside from the different sheet masks that I use. My morning skincare and evening skincare has been constant and the same, my diet hasn't changed or anything...I don't know. Anyone else having skin issues? It's not just my face, but my face and chest. The rest of my body is fine, but my face and chest...when it gets bad it gets bad and I can't seem to pinpoint or identify what is causing it.
Anywho...back to the topic at hand, it exacerbated my irritation and it actually caused a pimple to come to the surface. I now have a lovely bump on my chin that wasn't there before. Coincidence? No? Ironic since this is supposed to absorb excess sebum and clear out your pores and it's not brightening. My face is very red not bright, but again it's irritated so that's why it's red and not bright and luminous looking.
I was really looking forward to this mask. That description sounded awesome and it felt really nice and good while I had it on the face and I loved the material it was made out of and whatnot, but unfortunately I guess it was not meant to be. I did rub the excess serum on my arms and hands which were fine it was just my face that reacted to this, but facial skin is a lot more sensitive than the skin on your body so yeah. My face is weird. Sometimes it can be really sensitive and sometimes it's totally fine, but anywho...hopefully the other variation is a lot better and that one doesn't irritate me as well. Fingers crossed because from past experience I've come to find that different variations from a line can be drastically different. I have hated one variation but then ended up really loving a different variation, so here's hoping.
