THOUGHTS
March 5th, 2017: Despite the many good things that I feel like I've heard about this cleanser, I personally was not a fan. My biggest reasons being the texture and feel of this product and the fact that it broke me out. Btw, get ready to read the words emollient, heavy, suffocating, and greasy/oily a bajillion times...the main keywords that represent why I don't like this cleanser.

First up, texture. I am not a fan of the texture of this cleanser. It's like this viscous, slimy, cloudy, glob of gunk that...now that I think about it looks just like a loogie. If you don't know what a loogie is, it's the phlegm that you cough up and spit out. Sorry, I know that's gross, but that's exactly what this cleanser looks and feels like. On top of that, this does not lather up in the slightest. There is no lather whatsoever. Not even just a teeny tiny bit, which I guess is not that big of a deal, even though it throws me off, but kind of odd considering that this contains SLS which is a foaming agent. FYI, if you're ingredient conscious, this product contains both SLS and parabens.

As for the feel, once you get past the loogie like texture and apply this to the face, this feels like a watered down, super emollient, greasy hand lotion. Have you ever put on a greasy emollient hand cream and then washed your hands right after? That feeling when the water is on your hands on top of the greasy emollient hand cream...that's the feeling that you get as you rub this around your face to cleanse it. This is, in my opinion, a very unnecessarily emollient, heavy, suffocating, greasy/oily cleanser. Now if this was a first step oil cleanser or cleansing balm that emulsifies into an oil to remove makeup off your face that would be one thing (although even those oil products are better than this), but that's not what this is...and this actually felt more emollient and greasy/oily than an actual oil cleanser or cleansing balm.

Now I have to admit, initially, right after rinsing this off and patting my face dry, while my face did not feel cleansed or clean due to the highly emollient and greasy feeling of this cleanser, this did leave my face feeling very soft and smooth and hydrated...initially, but as time wore on I found my face actually starting to get very greasy/oily. It was no longer just a feeling, but a reality. I do have combo skin, my main oily area being my forehead (although now that it's winter it's not really much of an issue right now), but this made my entire face oily and greasy which was not fun...and broke me out. This suffocated and clogged my pores like nobody's business.

Anywho, maybe if you're someone with dry skin you might like this, and actually enjoy the emollience??? I'm doubtful that you would, but maybe? Regardless, I definitely would not repurchase or recommend this product. I just am not a fan on so many levels, as you can clearly tell, so this gets a big fat pass from me. No Ahnspired stamp of approval on this one.
