VERDICT
March 30th, 2017: I love this tinted lip balm, which I got because it's packaged just like the Dior Addict Lip Glows that I really want to try but can't yet fathom paying $33 for. I will probably cave at some point and just bite the bullet and get one, but for now I have this Secret Key Tint Glow which is awesome to fill that void.

I love the formula, which is super smooth, comfortable, hydrating and moisturizing. This does very much feel like a very good lip balm, but it's also very pigmented. One swipe will give you a really nice even pigmented but semi-sheer coverage of color, which you can actually build up with multiple swipes to be pretty opaque like a lipstick. It glides on beautifully and definitely adds a nice glowy lustre to the lips as described above, but if you're not a fan of the glossy lip you can actually blot your lips to keep the tint of color minus the shine.

Even though it's a tinted lip balm, it does not tint your lips...at least it didn't tint mine. For me, it just seemed to help the lip balm last longer between touch-ups...which considering what an awesomely hydrating and moisturizing and glossy lip balm it was, this stayed put for quite a decent amount of time. While it does transfer, one application pretty much stays put for a few hours before fading off...as long as you're not eating. Also, it fades pretty evenly and nicely and not in a weird way either.

If you want a beautiful tinted lip balm that delivers both color and moisture and comfort then definitely check this out. I agree with the description given 100%...which is why I plan to get the other 3 shades in this line as well.

March 29th, 2017: Such a fun texture and concept, but I am not a fan. This is not a good cleanser.

Initially I used this like a normal cleanser. I wet my face first, then went in with this cleanser on my damp face, massaged it around for a bit, then rinsed it off with lukewarm water. Done this way it was just kind of meh to me. Wasn't great, wasn't terrible. It was just kind of like whatever...honestly I couldn't really tell if it was doing anything.

Then when I went to write my review here on the blog, I was re-reading the description and "how to use" section and realized that apparently I was using it incorrectly? According to Memebox, as you can see above, you're supposed to use it on a dry face. It says to apply it to a dry face, wait for 5 minutes, massage it in, then rinse it off. I thought oh, I wonder if that's why I'm underwhelmed by this product. So I used it as directed by Memebox and omg, it was terrible...so so horrendously terrible.

First off, I don't even feel like it really cleanses. When I went in with a toner on a cotton pad afterwards, my cotton pad was dirty...it's never dirty after properly cleansing. Secondly, and most importantly, used this way...as instructed by Memebox, this method dried out my skin so badly...like a desert. I'm not exaggerating. My face got so obnoxiously dry and flaky I was like what the heck is going on?! I had to really, and I mean REALLY go to town with the hydrating products afterwards.

If you have very oily skin then perhaps you might like this better than I did, but "soft, moist, and flawless" this was not. I don't agree with the description given at all...and quite frankly I went back and double checked the "how to use" description on the actual product and I don't know where Memebox got it's info because no where on there does it specify to use it on a dry face or leave it on for 5 mins. It simply states to shake the bottle first, then take an appropriate amount, then massage it on the face for a bit before rinsing with lukewarm water. Used that way it's still not a great or even good cleanser, but at least it's not terrible and won't dry out your face like the Sahara desert.

Either way, this definitely gets a big fat pass from me. Not worth it in my opinion.

THOUGHTS
March 25th, 2017: This is a really nice sunscreen. Doesn't really have a scent....there's a very slight hint of a scent, but barely detectable. It is very lightweight, has no white cast, sinks right into the skin and doesn't have that typical sunscreen feel to it. It feels and applies more like a thin lotion. It does give you a bit of a dewy sheen, which slowly fades, but it's not sticky or tacky or greasy or anything like that, nor does it congest your pores. This leaves leaves your skin feeling hydrated but matte, despite the glow, and stays that way.

If you're not a fan of the typical sunscreen formula then I would definitely recommend checking this one out.

March 20th, 2017: I LOVE this cushion eye liner. I love the packaging, the brush, the formula, the pigmentation, the wear...I think this is the first eye liner that I've tried that didn't smudge, smear, or crumble on me. It actually stayed put. This lasts all day (well at least the 8 hours or so that I usually have it on), has great pigmentation, is easy to apply and easy to remove.

This has a thin liquid gel-type formula so it's very lightweight, but still goes on pigmented and opaque. This does have very fine micro-glitter in it though, which I don't mind and there's no fallout from it or grittiness or skipping or anything, but if that's not up your alley, then be forewarned. The "feather" brush is actually quite ergonomic and very comfortable to hold and use as well.

I got mine in shade #4 Plum Wine and I love it. It's a very deep plum, so while you can definitely pick up on the deep purple when you're closer, it almost looks black from afar but a bit softer...not that the pigmentation isn't there because it definitely is, but it's just a little less harsh looking than your average stark black. For me personally, while it is fun to go glam and do different sorts of looks, on the normal day to day I do definitely love and prefer a more natural "me, but better" type of look, so I don't really find myself reaching for black eyeliners anymore. I do prefer my browns and plums, so I'm really loving this shade.

If you want an eyeliner that is not only cute and adorable, but is actually good then definitely check this out. I totally agree with their description above. Honestly, I wasn't expecting to like this that much...I figured it would just be something cute to display on the vanity, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I don't care too much for shade #5 which is Olive Black, it doesn't really speak to me, but I do want this in the other 3 shades. Definitely my current favorite go to eye liner at the moment.

I love TonyMoly products. Being Korean I do use Korean products and TonyMoly is a brand that I already know and use not only because they have great products, but because they have super cute packaging and let's face it I'm a HUGE sucker for adorably cute packaging. That being said I've only tried their skincare products so far so this was a new product to me. It's something that has been on my list of products I want to try so I was super excited to get this in this month's Birchbox.

This particular tint, which I received in the shade #2 Red, is a watery formula that goes on beautifully. I'm always paranoid about tints and stains so I like to apply it on my finger first and then blend it on my face, but if you wanted to dab it straight on your face and then blend it out this does give you that time...not a ton of time, but just enough to blend it before it sets. Once it sets it really doesn't budge so if you're using it on the cheeks I would do it one cheek at a time. This color is beautiful on both the lips and the cheeks, but I personally love it more for my lips. Also, it smells good. I can't figure out how to describe the scent...it reminds me of something but I can't remember what. Just take my word that it smells good. I will most definitely be purchasing a full size once I use up my sample.

I had some Birchbox points lying around, so I used them to get this guy and I'm so glad I did. First of all...how cute is the packaging? So adorable, and the product itself is awesome.

They describe it as a hybrid lipstick/lip gloss or a "lipsta-gloss", but I like to think of it more as a tinted lip balm because it's so moisturizing on the lips...and it last for awhile. Some lip balms wear off really quickly, but this one actually sticks around and provides moisture for a few hours.

It does have a tint of color...though I don't think that it has a "bold hue" like the description says, but I do agree that it has a "high shine finish" which I love. Sidenote, matte lips are all the rage right now and so on trend, but I am not a fan of the matte lips. I don't think it looks good on me. Me personally, I love me some super juicy shiny lips so I really love the fact that this has a super shiny finish.

I definitely want more of these as they do come in a range of colors...each with its own unique expression on the packaging. I would definitely recommend you check this out. Great to throw in your purse and have on hand.

March 18th, 2017: I LOVE this face palette. I love the shading powder, blush, and highlight, which are all amazing...if you're like me and want something that's more on the natural side for a "my face, but better" look.

All three powders are user friendly (even for makeup novices), easy to blend, build-able, stay on the face all day (well the bronzer and highlight...the blush not so much...more like half the day), and are very versatile to use since each pan is a mini palette in itself...it's made up of three shades, which you can swirl together, use individually, or a mixture of your choice.

I'm not someone that wears makeup everyday or very often quite frankly, but lately I have been wearing it a lot more than normal due to this palette, which has become my go to. I also like to double the shading powder and highlight as eyeshadow as well...I like to use the shading powder to add depth and dimension to my eyes and the highlighter for the inner corners, so this coupled with a bb cream, eyebrow pencil, mascara, and a tinted lip balm and I'm all good to go.

Now this is not going to work for anyone with a deeper skin tone, but if you've got a light to light/medium skin tone I definitely recommend checking out this palette. This has a beautiful shading powder to both bronze and contour, a beautiful peachy pink blush, and a gorgeous highlight that is more of a pearly glow vs. a glittery highlight (which I personally prefer). It's easy, quick, and beautiful makeup.

BTW, this palette is also very travel friendly. The packaging is nice and thin, fits very comfortably in one hand, and is made of a sturdy cardboard...mirror included.

Though this palette is limited edition, the individual compacts are not...those are part of their permanent collection.

VERDICT

MARCH 16th, 2017: I've been meaning to review this for awhile now, but I'm just now finally getting to it. This was the Fresh holiday skincare kit that I got from Sephora back in December, so I doubt it's still available, but all these are sold individually and linked below.

This entire set was a bit too gentle for my liking. If you're someone that has very sensitive skin then you'll probably like this set...it's probably why my cousin likes their products so much because she has SUPER sensitive finicky skin, but I do not. Not to say that these products are all bad, but just not for me. The only product that I did like from this set was the Lip Treatment.

Not a fan of the scent, but it does perform very well. This smells like cucumbers, which some people may find refreshing and like, but I personally do not. This is an extremely gentle, very thin, barely there, semi-milky gel cleanser that is non-foaming. The look and texture of this cleanser kind of reminds me of...sorry for the gross analogy but well...quite frankly...it reminds me of runny snot, but like a non-sticky slick version. It's a liquid-y, runny, gel formula that is kind of chunky-ish...well not chunky, but squirts out in a blob like form that looks like snot. Like I said this is non-foaming, so it doesn't lather up in the slightest at all. It actually kind of feels like you're cleansing your face with a liquid-y aloe vera gel or something of the sort.

Anywho, despite feeling too thin and gentle for my liking and being 100% completely non-foaming/lathering, this actually does a really good job. Like I said, it feels like you're using aloe vera gel to cleanse the face so when I was using it, it didn't feel like it was doing much to cleanse the face, but once I rinsed it off and dried my face this left it nicely cleansed, hydrated, super soft and a bit smoother.

However, despite being a very good cleanser, I still don't like it and wouldn't repurchase it because I don't like the texture...although it would probably be a great cleanser to use if I had a sunburn. I think I would actually like it that particular circumstance, but that's about it. It just feels too thin and gentle and not like a cleanser for my liking, but if you have very sensitive skin like my cousin you would probably enjoy it, and like I said it is very good. I just don't like the texture.

BTW, this pairs very well with a Foreo device if you use one.

This was a little too lightweight and gentle, so much so that it didn't really seem to do much of anything. At least for me. It's got a thinner texture that just seemed to disappear into the skin without doing anything. It wasn't very hydrating. It wasn't illuminating or radiant. Honestly, I didn't notice any differences. It just disappeared into the skin.

I'm someone that has combo skin, oily t-zone with normal u-zone during the summer, and pretty normal-ish skin with a couple dry patches during the winter and this was not hydrating enough for me. When I used this, I woke up with dry skin the next morning...so I tried using a thicker layer the following evening, but I still woke up with dry skin. I tried layering on even more of the face cream the evening after that, but yet again I still woke up with dry skin.

If you have super oily skin then perhaps you'll like this since it's lightweight, thin, and not that emollient, but if you have combo-dry skin it's not going to provide enough moisture for your skin...at least not during the winter. Maybe it would be better during the hot summer months, but I'm not about to go buy this just to see if it might be better during the summer. This stuff is not cheap.

Again, too gentle for my liking. This barely exfoliates...if at all. The particles are too fine and gentle to really do much in my opinion. If you're someone with SUPER sensitive skin then this would be perfect for you, but for me it just wasn't strong enough.

It is a bit dry the first few uses, but once you break past the initial...I guess topcoat or barrier it gets better. I really like how it glides and melts onto your lips, has the perfect hint of color that isn't too sheer or pigmented, and does a great job of moisturizing.

It is expensive for what it is, but it is a good product that I love and am constantly reaching for. I love slathering this on to run errands, bum around the house, for no-makeup days, and natural no-makeup makeup days.

Plus, this contains sunscreen.

THOUGHTS

March 11th, 2017: This smells really good. I don't know what dragon fruit actually smells like, but this product has a fruity sweet scent that I like. In terms of results, however, I'm just kind of meh about it. It's got a drier clay formula, so while it's not difficult to apply I've definitely tried smoother, glidier (is that even a word?), easier to spread mud/clay products.

Once it's on the face, this thing burns. It says in the description that it'll give you a tingly and cooling sensation, but it's not tingly or cooling...it just burns. Not to the point where I had to take it off, and it does start to fade as it dries, but it gives you a pretty good burning sensation initially.

As it dries down it does feel a bit dry and tight, but it actually isn't as bad as the other mud/clay masks that I've tried. Ironically, even though this is less dry and tight and more hydrating feeling while it's on the face, it leaves your face feeling very matte once it's washed off. The other mud/clay masks that I've tried and love are the opposite...they are extremely drying and tight feeling while on the face, but surprisingly hydrating, soft and smooth afterwards so this one was the complete opposite. Better feeling while drying on the face, but not as great results afterwards. Not that it completely dries out your face, but it doesn't leave you with super soft and smooth skin like some others I've tried have. Also, it does brighten the face but I don't feel like it does much else. I don't feel like it made much of a difference with my pores.

I love the scent, the cute packaging and the fact that it's a fun pink, which is a nice change of pace from the usual grey/green/brown most mud/clay masks are, but there is much better out there in my opinion. The description sounds awesome, but unfortunately it doesn't quite live up to it. You can get two uses out of each capsule, so there's enough for 6 uses in this set and at $6 for the trio that equals to $1 per masking session so it's very affordable, but I would still pass on this. Not bad, but like I said there's better.

March 8th, 2017: I used up all of these and threw them out before taking a picture (#bloggerfail), so I tried to find a picture of the cotton pads online...this was the best I could find. Not the best picture (click on it to expand) and I don't know Japanese so I have no idea what it says, but don't these look exactly like miniature sized feminine hygiene pads?

Anywho...it's a very thick cotton pad that has a textured weaved sleeve around it which makes it nice to use in certain situations. I feel like the description provided is pretty accurate...for the most part. I don't know that I would use the word luxurious to describe this, and while the texture is fine (it's not harsh or scratchy or anything like that) I don't know that I would say it's velvety soft either...I guess comfortable would be a good way to describe it? Actually...it doesn't just look like a sanitary pad, it feels like one too. You know the ones that are super thick? Not the plastic-y feeling pads by Always, but the thick cotton ones by Stayfree? This has the same exact weaved casing and texture...from what I remember. They are soft enough and comfortable, but by no means velvety soft...in my opinion.

The rest of the description provided though...I totally agree and think it's accurate. This is definitely 100% completely lint-free as the thick cotton is encased in that textured weaved sleeve (like a sanitary pad), because of the textured weaved sleeve that encases the cotton it definitely makes it very resilient as well and therefore preferable and great to remove nail polish and makeup, and because it is such a thick cotton pad it's very absorbent (again, just like a sanitary pad) meaning one of these does go a long way and does the work of 2-3 regular cotton pads when it comes to nail polish and makeup removal.

As much as I like it for removal purposes, however, I don't like it as much for actual skincare...unless I'm using it with an exfoliating toner like the Son & Park Beauty Water which is an all-in-one multi-purpose cleanser/toner/mild exfoliator. I feel like the textured weaved sleeve that encases the cotton helps the Beauty Water to very gently exfoliate, so that is the only skincare circumstance that I would prefer to use this.

So, would I repurchase this? Umm...yes, I would. While I do still prefer the Facial Cotton pads also by Shiseido (reviewed below), which I absolutely LOVE for skincare and also does do a nice job of removing nail polish and makeup, the texture of these Silk Made cotton pads just makes it a bit better and preferable to use in those nail and makeup removal situations...and to lightly exfoliate with my Son & Park Beauty water in the mornings to do my non-cleanse cleanse. January 4th, 2017: I absolutely LOVE these. Definitely my most favorite cotton pads to date. These are super strong and absorbent, yet soft...extremely luxuriously soft. They feel amazing on the skin. Somehow they're super strong, they will not break apart or lint up no matter how much you drench it, yet super soft and extremely gentle at the same time. Wether you use it with skincare or to take off nail polish it does a fantastic job.

I definitely recommend that you go and pick up a pack if you haven't yet tried these soft plush pillowy squares of goodness. You won't be disappointed.
