THOUGHTS

I initially got this as a sample to try. Sephora had it as a birthday sample option...last year? I think it was last year. Anwho, after trying it I really liked it, so I got a full sized tube of it and have continued to enjoy using it.

It really is a gel cream. It looks like a cream coming out of the tube, but once you feel it...it definitely feels, applies and behaves like a gel moisturizer. It's got that lightweight slippery gel texture that I love, that allows it to glide on and apply to the skin beautifully. It also absorbs quickly and it doesn't leave you feeling like you've got skincare on your face, which I appreciate and why I'm fan of this and gel moisturizers in general.

While I did find this to be hydrating/moisturizing and feel like it left my skin soft and smooth and with a bit of a healthy glow....would I repurchase this again? Depends. I don't see myself repurchasing this anytime soon, but I could see myself perhaps getting this again down the line if it were on sale.

If it were much cheaper, than I would probably buy it and use it more often, but considering the price I'm gonna have to say I still prefer Youth to the People and Nooni over this one, but it's still a great product that does it's job and I still enjoyed using it...I just don't think there's anything particularly special about it to warrant the expensive price tag.

If I'm looking to spend my money and indulge then I would rather purchase Youth to the People's Superfood Air-Whip Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Cream: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2017/05/youth-to-people-skincare.html, which is even pricier than this one, but I like it better. I think it's even more lightweight and got an even better formula than this one. This one is great, but Youth to the People is FANTASTIC. I love that stuff.

Also, If I'm not looking to splurge and want something more budget friendly, than I would rather use Nooni's Facial Cream: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/04/nooni.html. That one's still not cheap, but it's definitely a lot cheaper than this one, so there's still a nice price gap...depending on which version you get and from where I think the Nooni is like half the price of this one...but if you still want to give this a whirl by all means. Again, it is a great product that does it's job, but it's just more expensive than it needs to be in my opinion.

VERDICT

January 13th, 2017: Got this in a Birchbox last year and I finally whipped it out to use and OMG this stuff is amazing. It's a thick slab of white gel that adheres to the under eye very well, is cooling and refreshing, and very comfortable to wear. I also like shape of it which is long enough to cover not just the under eye, but also the sides of my eye up to the tail of my eyebrow. This is by far my favorite eye pads that I've tried so far.

I bailed on using eye cream last night...and for the past few nights and I awoke to find a deep canyon had formed in the outer corner of my left eye (aka a pillow crease) this morning and it was deep. I don't know what I did in my sleep or how I slept but this was one serious pillow crease. Despite the deep canyon that was etched into the outer corner of my eye this eye pad totally ironed it out. I couldn't believe it. Seriously like 98% back to normal and it was a really bad deep crease. In retrospect I should've taken before and after pics, but I didn't think it was going to be such a miracle worker in such a short amount of time. I just left it on for 20 minutes as instructed.

On top of that it was really cooling and refreshing which helped to wake me up this morning, gave the area a hydration boost, and really smoothed out the under eye. Not that I really have an issue with fine lines or texture under my eyes, but this made it like extra smooth.

Not generally a big fan of eye pads or just eye products in general hence the several days of skipping out on using my eye cream, but this one I'm going to have to go and buy a pack to keep on hand. It's comfortable, non-irritating, and a miracle worker. If you're in need of some awesomely fantastic eye pads then definitely check these out. These are amazing. Plus, if you're in the US, apparently you can find these at CVS (link above).

I LOVE this cream. It does everything it claims to do to give you beautifully hydrated radiant and healthy looking skin. It sinks in beautifully and isn't heavy, greasy, or sticky in the slightest. It was super lightweight yet moisturizing and left my face feeling amazingly velvety soft and smooth. I couldn't stop stroking my own face because it felt so nice...all day long. The way it feels right after application...that lasts the entire day and doesn't diminish in any way. At the end of the day my face felt pretty much the exact same as it did at the beginning of my day when I first applied it. Same goes for how it looked. True to it's name, this gives you a beautiful satiny soft intense yet still natural looking healthy radiant glow...a velvet luminescence. It's not super dewy or flashy or anything like that, but rather a nice velvety satin-y healthy looking lit from within radiance which also lasts all day long. That radiant glow is just as beautiful at the end of the day as it was at the beginning of the day.

My only "con" for this product is the packaging...not a fan of potted products, and how expensive it is. It wasn't as expensive as I was expecting it to be, but it's still up there...but still totally worth it. I think of all the moisturizers/facial creams that I've tried thus far this is by far my favorite...and I hate that I've fallen in love with a cream that is so expensive, but I guess there's no going back now. I've fallen...and I've fallen hard. In fact I am now dying to try out the entire line (you can't see my face right now, but I'm cringing at the thought of how much that would be as I write this). If you can swing the up there price tag then I would definitely recommend that you check it out because your skin will thank you...even if your wallet will not.

BTW...for those of you with dry skin, I noticed they have a separate version of this for dry skin. I personally haven't tried that one, but wanted to throw that out there.
