VERDICT
September 16th, 2017: So many people love Briogeo, and apparently (according to Sephora) this product is an Allure Reader's Choice Award winner, but I wasn't a fan. While it did provide some hydration and left my hair a little bit smoother, that was about it...besides the fact that it made my hair a bit tangly, which was odd since 1. my hair never tangles or gets tangly and 2. like I said this did make my strands a bit smoother. How it manages to be smoother, yet tanglier at the same time...

What I do know is that this left my hair with so much texture and grit to it...it made my hair feel like I had sprayed a ton of hairspray into my hair. It had that sort of hairspray like stickiness to it, and it felt overly texturized and grippy. Is grippy even a word? Was grippier a word? Anywho, you know what I mean...right? I hope you do.

I suppose if I was wanting to tease my hair for volume and/or do an elaborate updo or something this would be great as it would provide that super strong sticky texture and grit to hold my hair in place, but that's not what I'm looking for on an everyday basis. I'm a simple girl with simple hair who just wants nicely hydrated silky soft smooth shiny hair that I can run my fingers through...which I wasn't able to do.

This left my hair with tangles when I woke up in the morning, and throughout the day it kept wanting to tangle and my fingers kept getting stuck in my hair...in the tangles and I would have to rake them out with my fingers instead of running them smoothly through. This should honestly be called a texturizing conditioner cream instead. That would be much more fitting.

I probably sound really petty and complain-y and kind of snobbish right now (I claim I'm a simple girl, yet I want x, y, and z...lol), but what can I say. I know what I like and I'm very particular and what I like and want is nicely hydrated tangle free silky soft smooth hair with lots of shine, so if you're like me then I would recommend a pass, but if sticky textured grit is what you're looking for then this is perfect.

In terms of hydration though, it does say for more hydration to leave it in for 20 min under a dryer covered with a plastic shower cap, but ain't nobody got time for that... or rather want to invest that much time and effort like that...right? Or is it just me? It could just be me, but that is way too much time and work and effort for me. I don't mind slathering skincare on my face for an hour, but when it comes to hair I like to keep it as simple and quick and effort-free as possible. Also, I don't use shower caps so I don't have one laying around, and I am not going to sit there running a dryer over my head for 20 minutes. I do not have the arm muscles for that, and while I do have a dryer, I haven't used it in years as I like to air-dry my hair.

If you don't mind the time investment though, and just want to minimize the effort, then I would recommend the SD hair packs. Those are awesome and require a lot less effort as they come in a pre-coated shower cap that self-steams, so all you have to do is put it on, wait, and then remove and rinse out: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/09/sd-hair-haircare.html...so much easier to use in my opinion and leaves you with amazing results.

Other awesome conditioners that I would personally recommend over this one, that gives me the hydrated super soft and silky smooth and shiny hair that I want, are the La'dor Conditioner: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/04/lador.html, Project Beauty Conditioner: https://ahnspired.blogspot.com/2016/12/project-beauty-haircare.html and the yet to be reviewed, but AMAZING M Cerade Texturizing Essence, which is technically not a conditioner, but I use it as a leave in conditioner nonetheless.

Oh, and  p.s. while this does have a scent, a sweet wax-y like scent (?) that I don't mind, you can't smell it unless you're holding the product up to your nose. Also, this made my hair feel greasy a lot faster. It's only been a day, not even 24 hours, but I want to wash my hair again already...so if you have fine hair like me then yeah.

Ok, enough complaining. There is a time and place and market for this, it's not like it's absolute crap. It's just not my personal cup of tea and what I'm looking for in my average conditioner routine.
