VERDICT
May 14th, 2016: This stuff WORKS. If you have dark spots or acne scarring and you need help lightening them then you need to get this product asap. I'm one of those people who is TERRIBLE about suncare. I HATE sunscreen. I've yet to find one that I like and will use, so I always neglect to use it and it has come to bite me in the arse. I've developed brown spots on my face and I desperately want to get rid of them, so I got this product to try and lighten them up and if possible make them disappear completely.
Now this hasn't made them disappear, yet (fingers crossed), but it has lightened up the dark spots considerably...compared to how pigmented and dark they were before. I am praying and hoping that continued use will eventually make my brown spots disappear completely, but am I asking too much of this product? Is it even possible to erase a dark spot with an OTC cream? I guess time will tell, but for now I am happy with the way it's been performing.
I did have a moment of doubt and my faith in the product wavered for a brief moment, but I have since re-solidified my faith in this product. I think because it was doing such an amazing and effective job when I first started using it I got a bit frustrated and upset that it seemed to have kind of leveled off after a certain point. It was working so well I felt a little discouraged that the effect had seemingly leveled off, but in retrospect because I was so excited by how effective this was in the beginning I think my expectations just sky rocketed and I was expecting this product to perform a miracle because I felt like it was capable of doing so.
Not gonna lie...I'm still hoping for that miracle...that this will eventually with consistent and continued use make all my dark spots disappear, but to be realistically fair nonetheless even if it doesn't magically erase my spots completely this is still a potent and effective product. It did lighten up the spots considerably so I would definitely give it a go if you're in the market for a spot lightening product.
I like to put down a layer of the product on my trouble spots and then go in with a huge glob of the product and dot it on the dark spots so I have a nice thick dot of the cream on the trouble spots to really let it do it's magic. I then sit and wait for the glob of cream to sink into my skin completely and then I go to bed. This system of using thick concentrated dots of product just on my specific trouble spots works for me.
